POOL RUMMY
What is Pool Rummy?
Pool Rummy is a variant of the 13 cards Indian rummy where players pay a fixed entry fee that forms the prize pool. The winner of each agreement gets 0 points and the rest of the accumulated points are added to their score. A player is eliminated once his score reaches the maximum point limit on the table, for example, 101 Pool Points or 201 Pool Points.
Winnings = (Entry Fee) X (Number of Players) – SilkRummy Fees.
How to play Pool Rummy in Silk Rummy?
Pool Rummy at SilkRummy.com is played by 2 to 6 players with 2 card packs (including one printed joker per pack).
Each player joins a Pool Rummy table by paying a fixed entry fee that is used to create the Pool Prize. A draw will decide which player makes the first move. Each player receives a set of 13 cards at random. The first card in the pack is placed in the open deck indicating that the game has started. The remaining cards are placed face down in the slot of the closed deck. A wild card is randomly selected at the start of each game. One or more wild cards can be used to complete games and/or sequences.
Printed Joker: In case a printed wild is selected as a wild for a game, players can also use the Ace card of any suit as a wild in their sets and/or sequences.
Auto Drop: A player can drop at any time during a Pool Rummy game by clicking the ‘Auto Drop’ button. This player will be removed from subsequent bids and will be given the first drop score (i.e. 20 points in group 101 or 25 points in group 201). If this player wishes to re-join the table, they can do so by clicking the “I am back” button. Points accumulated by this player when dropped will be added to their score.
Deal Show: In pool rummy, the Deal show gives a half-count to the players who are on the rummy game table.
Elimination: In Pool Rummy, a player is eliminated from the table once his score reaches the maximum point limit at a particular table. For example: in the 101 point group, a player will be eliminated once his score reaches 101 points.
Divided Prize: In the Rummy group, players can use the ‘Divide’ option if they choose to divide the prize money. The split option will work based on the number of drops remaining for a player. The number of drops remaining is defined as the number of times a player can leave a game and remain in the game. The split option works only with mutual understanding between the players with whom the prize money will be split. In case any player rejects the division, the option will not work.
Objective: To organize the 13 cards in the hand in sequences and/or sets. Each player takes turns choosing/discarding a card from the open/closed deck to complete sets and/or sequences. You can move a card to the final slot to declare your sets and sequences. To declare, the player must show the cards in hand by grouping them into sets/sequences and clicking the ‘Declare’ button.
Required: To end the game, you must declare at least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence.
Caution: With two decks, you cannot use the same card twice in a set, for example, 7 ♠ 7 ♠ 7 ♥ is not a valid set.
